Each year GBLT sends you the tax assessment with the WOZ value. We use a large number of data to calculate the WOZ value. We check the calculation. After that you will receive the tax assessment.
We use a calculation program
This program looks at the characteristics of your home and cross references it with similar homes sold the past year. The characteristics taken into account are, for example, surface area, location and state of the home. We check this calculation before making the value final. We then put the value on the tax assessment.
What determines the height of the WOZ value?
- The location of the property
- The surface area of the property
- Sales prices of comparable properties
- The condition of the property
- Specific characteristics
The WOZ value is the value of the property on January 1st of the previous year.
We also explain this in a video
Below you will find a video in Dutch about the calculation process.
