GBLT works to provide a great service. For example:

  • Do you have a question about your tax assessment? We will be happy to answer it for you.
  • Do you have a problem? We will try and find a solution that suits your needs.
  • Do you have a criticism? We will take your feedback to heart and try to learn from it.

How do we engage with you?

When you contact us:

  • Our tone of voice is friendly, respectful and personable.
  • We use normal understandable language when we communicate with you.
  • We aim to provide you with an immediate response. In instances where this is not possible we will let you know what to expect from us.
  • You will always receive information that is current and accurate. Regardless whether you contact us in 'Mijn Loket', call us, send an e-mail, or come to us in person.
  • We comply with the law. Both in our decision-making and response times for these decisions. We make an effort to answer your question a fast as possible.
  • We honour our agreements.  Did we make a mistake? Then we admit it and rectify the mistake as quickly as possible.
  • You need to login to access your personal information in 'Mijn Loket'. This way your information remains secure. You can login using a 'DigiD'. DigiD is a way of digital identification that enables you to make digital arrangements in the Netherlands with (local) government, healthcare providers, educational institution and pension funds.

How can you reach us?

You can reach us in several ways. Please click the options below to find out more about the ways in which you can reach us.

  • On our website you will find current information about the assessments we send. You will also find general information about charges and various types of taxes and how payment can be made. 

    Another important part of our digital services is 'Mijn Loket'. Mijn Loket is a secure environment where you can manage your tax affairs online whenever it is convenient to you. It is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You use a secure login method to enter this environment. For example DigiD. In Mijn Loket you can:

    • Change your postal address;
    • Add your e-mail address;
    • Change your banking details;
    • View your tax assessments;
    • Check how much you still have to pay;
    • Arrange payment in instalments;
    • Arrange a paymentplan;
    • Request remission;
    • Request reduction of your assessment. If you live alone and received an assessment for 3 v.e. (pollution units);
    • Lodge a formal objection;
    • Register or de-register your dog for municipal tax;
    • View your property tax valuation report. You will only receive a property tax valuation if you live in one of the municipalities we work for.
  • Cannot find the answer online or need assistance? Please call us at 088-064 55 55. You can reach us Monday through Friday from  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We can answer up to 95% of all calls. 5% of the time we do not succeed to answer the phone on time. Sometimes there are too many calls for us to answer as we can answer up to 5,000 calls a day. In these instances we kindly ask you to try again later.

  • It is also possible to write a letter to GBLT. You can send your letters to GBLT, postbus 1098, 8001 BB Zwolle.
    You will receive an answer within 10 working days after we received your letter. Are we unable to provide an answer immediately? Then you will receive a confirmation of receipt within that same timeframe. Within the 8 week period that follows, you will receive an answer.

  • Do you prefer speaking to us in person? That is possible on the condition you make an appointment. Do you want to set up a personal appointment? Please call us at 088-064 55 55. Our visiting address is Lübeckplein 2 in Zwolle.

    Did you lodge an objection to a tax assessment from your municipality with a request for a hearing ? Then you can ask us to schedule this in your own town hall.

How can I best contact GBLT?

You can contact us about a variety of subjects. To find out more about a given subject, just click it:

  • Do you have a general question? Or are you searching for general information; for example about a tax assessment or final notice? Then check out our website first. You can find a lot of information about managing your tax affairs here. Do you have a personal question? The fastest way to your answer is usually  ‘Mijn Loket’. Also you can always call us. We are available to take your calls Monday through Friday. From 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

    How quickly do you receive a response?

    • On the website, in 'Mijn Loket' and on the phone, you will receive an answer straight away.
    • Did you send a letter? You will receive a written answer within 10 working days.
  • Do you want to change  the way you make payment or your personal information? For example, you want to start paying in instalments or add an e-mail address? Please go to 'Mijn Loket'. It is the fastest and easiest way to report your change to GBLT.  

    Please note: it is not necessary to inform us when you relocate or when a municipality adjusts your WOZ-value due to you lodging an objection.  This information is automatically provided to us by the municipalities.

    How quickly do you receive a response?

    • On the website, in 'Mijn Loket' and on the phone, you will receive an answer straight away.
    • You will receive a written answer within 10 working days of receiving your letter.
  • Do you disagree with an assessment or decision issued by GBLT? Then it is often possible to lodge an objection against said assessment or decision. You can find more information about this on our website

    The quickest and easiest way to lodge an objection is in 'Mijn Loket'. You can also lodge an objection by way of sending letter. You cannot lodge an objection by telephone.

    How quickly do you receive a response?

    • Did you lodge an objection against the property value (WOZ)? You will receive a confirmation of receipt within 10 working days. You will receive our final decision no later than December 31st. You can lodge this objection at GBLT for the municipalities of Dronten, Leusden, Nijkerk, Dalfsen, Bunschoten, Zwolle and Ommen.
    • Other objections. You will receive confirmation of receipt within 10 working days. You will receive the final decision within 12 weeks of the date on the assessment notice.
  • Are you unable to pay the tax assessment?  You can request remission. If you qualify for remission, you pay little to no taxes. It depends on your specific circumstances how much the tax assessment is reduced. The fastest way to request remission is in 'Mijn Loket'. Also you can always call us for a form by which you can request remission. 

    Please note: all the information and documents we request, need to be provided. Or else we cannot  process your request for remission. 

    How quickly do you receive a response?

    • You will receive a confirmation of receipt within 10 working days.
    • Within 13 weeks of receiving a complete request, you will receive a letter from us stating whether you (partially) qualify for remission. 

    Do you submit an appeal? You will receive our decision within 12 weeks of your appeal.

  • The Water purification charge for residential premises depends on the number of residents that reside at an address.  When you live with other people you pay for 3 pollution units (3 v.e.). This is a standard measure. Do you live alone? Then 1 pollution unit (1 v.e.) applies. Did you receive a tax assessment for 3 pollution units whilst living alone? Please let us know. We will reduce the assessment tot 1 pollution unit. 

    How quickly do you receive a response?

    • You will receive a confirmation of receipt within 10 working days. 
    • You will receive a final decision within 12 weeks of the date on the assessment notice.
  • It is important to us we treat everyone decently. Are unhappy about the way you are being treated? Please discuss this immediately with the employee concerned.  If you cannot reach an understanding, please send us your complaint. The fastest way to lodge a complaint is in 'Mijn Loket'. It is also possible to send your complaint in writing.  Please address your letter to the 'GBLT klachtencoördinator'.

    How quickly do you receive a response?

    • By telephone. You will receive an answer immediately or as soon as possible thereafter.
    • In writing. You will receive an answer within 6 weeks after we have received your letter. We can postpone this answer once for 4 weeks. We always reply to a complaint
