Do you offer paid overnight stays? In a hotel, holiday park or campsite for instance? Or by using Airbnb or similar organisations? Then you have to pay tourist tax. How much tourist tax you have to pay can be found on the rates page. You can recharge this amount to the overnight guests.
The municipality uses these taxes to pay for public facilities. Tourists also use these. That is why the municipality imposes tourist tax. That way, the tourists also contribute.
Mandatory notification
Do you offer paid overnight stays? Then you need to register this in advance. You can do this digitally by sending an email to gemeente@gblt.nl. Or send a letter to GBLT, postbus 1098, 8001 BB Zwolle.
Provisional and final assessment
You indicate in advance how many overnight stays you expect. You will receive a provisional assessment based on this figure. When the year is over, you declare the actual number of overnight stays. You will then receive the final assessment.
Not for residents
Are you registered as a resident of the municipality of Dronten? Then you do not have to pay this tax.
