Changes for sole proprietorships

Due to GBLT's connection to the Chamber of Commerce's Trade Register, we now use different data than you are used to from us. On this page we will explain what will change for you.

What will change for sole proprietorships?

  • GBLT tax assessments for your business are no longer in your company's name, but in your own name. As a result, business tax assessments can now be issued on a single notice alongside your private tax assessments.

  • GBLT may have used a different address for your business than for your private tax assessments. From now onwards, we will send all mail for your business to your private address.

  • You can easily manage your tax affairs at GBLT online in 'Mijn Loket' on our website. Here you can, for example, arrange payment in instalments or change your bank account. You can also see which tax assessments still have to be paid. Previously, for your business taxes you had to log in with eHerkenning (eRecognition). Now you need to log in with your personal Dutch Digital Identification (DigiD). You will now see  both your business and private tax assessments combined in one single location.

  • Paying in instalments by direct debit will cease. This is because we put all tax assessments in your private name. Do you want to arrange for future tax assessments to be paid in instalments by direct debit? Then you will need to give GBLT your consent. You can arrange this in three ways:

    • Organise it online using your DigiD in 'Mijn Loket' on this website..
    • Download a consent form via this link.
    • Call us on 088-064 55 55 to have us send you a consent form.

    Do you still need to pay (part of) a tax assessment for this year or earlier?

    A tax assessment for this year or a previous year that has not yet been paid in full has to be paid in one single instalment. In 'Mijn Loket' on gblt.nl, you can check which tax assessment you have not yet paid in full. You can transfer this amount in 'Mijn Loket', or via your bank, using these details:

    Bank account: NL82 DEUT 0319 8046 15
    In the name of: GBLT in Zwolle
    Payment reference: the assessment number
  • Are there any matters for your company still in process at GBLT? Then we will convert these to your own name. For example:

    • an objection that GBLT is still processing;
    • a provisional tax assessment for which you have yet to receive a final tax assessment;
    • a tax assessment you have not yet paid.

    These matters remain ongoing. However, we will from now on be using your own name on mail about these matters. And we will send it to your private address.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • GBLT can no longer separate your business and personal taxes. However, you can pay your taxes from your business account. This keeps private and business payments separate. Always include the assessment number with your payment.

  • You may use different bank accounts to pay your tax assessments. For example, you can pay your private taxes using a bank account that differs from the one you use to pay your business taxes. However, you will then need to transfer the payment yourself using your bank. Always quote the assessment number with your payment.

    Would you like to pay in instalments by direct debit? Then GBLT will collect the tax assessment in instalments from a single account. This means you cannot pay your taxes from different accounts.

  • Your direct debit in installments ceases. Is there a part of your tax assessment unpaid as of yet? Then you need to transfer the amount outstanding in one go yourself. You can do this via 'Mijn Loket' or via your bank:

    Bank account: NL82 DEUT 0319 8046 15
    In the name of: GBLT in Zwolle
    Payment reference: the assessment number

    You can request a new direct debit in instalments. However, this will only apply to future tax assessments.

  • You can change your bank account and/or add a mailing address. You can do this in 'Mijn Loket' or by sending a letter to GBLT, Postbus 1098 8001 BB Zwolle. Please note: the adjusted bank account or mailing address will then be used for both your business and private taxes.

  • We transfer the amount back into the bank account from which we received it originally. If we do not have a correct bank account, we will send you a letter.
